Common problems

Why has my washer stopped mid-cycle?

The washer might stop mid-cycle as a precautionary measure to prevent damage to components. Here’s how you can resolve it:

  • Check the wash load or laundry. Spread the load evenly and close the lid.

  • Keep the washer levelled and maintain sufficient water in the tub based on the size of the laundry load to avoid imbalance

  • Make sure the power cord/cable is plugged into the working electrical wall socket.

  • Check the circuit breaker or fuse of the fuse box and reset it if necessary.

  • Inspect the drain hoses for bends and the drain system for clogging that might obstruct drainage.

  • Start the machine by selecting the cycle you want and turning the control knob, closing the lid and pulling out the knob. (For safety, the lid must be closed for the washer to stir and/or spin).

  • If the machine is paused or in soaking mode, as selected by you, you need to wait for a while for it to restart.

  • The lid switch that prevents the washer from spinning when open might be malfunctioning causing a disruption. The washer stops operation until the lid switch is repaired or replaced.
