Chairman & Managing Director

Jamshyd Godrej is Chairman of the Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) and Chairman and Managing Director of Godrej & Boyce (G&B), one of India’s largest and most respected companies, serving millions of consumers and businesses globally with a strong focus on engineering, design and sustainability.

Nyrika Holkar

Executive Director

Nyrika Holkar is the Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce (G&B), a part of Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG). She leads the Brand, Legal and M&A functions for the Godrej Enterprises Group. In this capacity, she is driving a group-wide strategy to build new interventions that help elevate customer experience, foster collaborative innovation amongst employees, and enhance data-led decision-making in business.

Anil G. Verma

Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer

Anil G. Verma is an Executive Director & the Chief Executive Officer of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group. As part of the group since 1983 Mr. Verma has more than 30 years of experience in key business functions such as Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing. He has held several leadership positions in multiple capacities across businesses and corporate functions.

Freyan Crishna Bieri

Non-Executive Director

Freyan Crishna Bieri is associated with Godrej Enterprises Group as a non-executive director of Godrej & Boyce. An alumna of Gettysburg College and The Inchbald School of Design, she has designed multifaceted projects and is constantly looking to evolve best practices in creating and producing furniture and objects with a purpose.

Kavas Petigara

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Kavas Petigara serves as Non-Executive Director. Since joining the board in 1988, with his Chemical Engineering degree from MIT, USA, he has significantly contributed to strategic decision-making. A chemical consultant, Mr Petigara is the Managing Partner of Scitech Corporation.

Keki Elavia

Non-Executive Director

Keki Elavia is the Non-Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group. Appointed as an Independent Director on May 1, 2012, Mr. Keki Elavia, a seasoned Chartered Accountant, serves on the boards of numerous companies, guiding financial strategies.

Pradip Shah

Non-Executive Director

Pradip Shah is the Non-Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group. Joining the Board on 10th August, 2004, Mr. Shah holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College, Bombay. He is a qualified Cost Accountant and ranked first in India in the Chartered Accountancy examinations.

Anita Ramachandran

Non-Executive Director

Anita Ramachandran is Non-Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group. Joining the board on April 28, 2007, Ms. Ramachandran is well known for her work in Compensation and HR strategy. She earlier had a two decade career with A.F. Ferguson's Management Consultancy division, where she was a Director.

Gauri A Kirloskar

Independent Director

Gauri A. Kirloskar is an independent director on the board of Godrej and Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises group. She is the Managing Director of Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL) since May 2022 and a director on the boards of KOEL’s subsidiaries, La-Gajjar Machineries - a pumps manufacturing company - and Arka Fincap - the group’s foray into the financial services business.

Viraf Mehta

Independent Director

Viraf Mehta has joined the board of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group as an Independent Director. Mr Mehta is a Fellow Member of ‘The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’ (ICAI) with significant experience and expertise in Audit & Review, Assurance, Business Advisory and Transaction Advisory services.

Jamshyd N. Godrej

Chairman & Managing Director

Jamshyd Godrej is Chairman of the Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) and serves as the Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of its flagship company Godrej & Boyce (G&B), one of India’s largest and most respected companies, serving millions of consumers and businesses globally with a strong focus on engineering, design and sustainability.   

A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA, Mr. Godrej is a life-long entrepreneur who has helped champion GEG’s entry into new business segments, driven industrial scale for its strategic and consumer businesses as well as built an inclusive organization that generates long-term value for all its stakeholders.   

Awarded the ‘Padma Bhushan’, one of India’s highest civilian honors in 2003 for his contributions to the nation as a business leader, Mr. Godrej has been consistently engaged in helping build consensus among different stakeholders and representing Indian business on national and global platforms.   

Under his leadership, GEG has emerged as market leaders in key industrial sectors like aerospace, process equipment and energy and reinforced its leadership in home appliances, furniture as well as safety and security by understanding the aspirations of customers. His vision to invest in areas like space technology as well as precision engineering and design has helped the GEG stay ahead of the innovation curve and propel India’s growth.    

His passion for preserving the planet led him to pioneer the ‘Green Building’ movement in India. Mr. Godrej is the Chairman of the CII Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre, India’s first green building and now a Centre of Excellence for green and sustainable buildings, energy and water conservation. 

 A respected business leader, Mr. Godrej is the former President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA). He is a member of Toyota Motor's Global Advisory Board and the former Chairman of Ananta Aspen Centre (previously known as Aspen Institute India).   

His long-standing commitment to the environment is also reflected in his leadership of organizations like the World Wide Fund (WWF) for Nature in India as its President. He is also the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, India Resources Trust as well as the Council on Energy, Environment and Water. He is a Director of World Resources Institute, USA and a Trustee of the Asia Society, USA.   

Mr. Godrej is an ardent yachting enthusiast and has done extensive cruising along the west coast of India, the Baltic & North Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and in the Mediterranean Sea. He lives in Mumbai with his wife Dr. Pheroza Godrej. 

Nyrika Holkar

Executive Director

Nyrika Holkar is the Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce (G&B), a part of Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG), one of India’s largest and most respected conglomerates, serving millions of consumers and businesses globally with a strong focus on engineering, design and sustainability. She leads the Brand, Legal and M&A functions for the Godrej Enterprises Group. In this capacity, she is driving a group-wide strategy to build new interventions that help elevate customer experience, foster collaborative innovation amongst employees, and enhance data-led decision-making in business.  

As the Brand Custodian, she works closely with the Sustainability, Design, Marketing, Communications, Sales and Service functions across GEG.  

During her tenure as Executive Director, Nyrika has helped to significantly streamline GEG's financial exposure by instituting end-to-end processes for the management of commercial contracts, risk and intellectual property. She has also been driving a single view of the customer across four of GEG’s consumer businesses Appliances, Interio, Locks and Security through the integration of sales, service and marketing data into a single platform. She is driving a service transformation across the consumer facing businesses to ensure consistency of customer experience across all touchpoints. 

Nyrika is currently working on the turnaround of GEG’s furniture retail brand Interio to reimagine the product, customer and omnichannel experience to create a contemporary, design-first brand which serves the evolving lifestyle needs of customers.   

She also oversees Godrej Design Lab, which gives a platform to designers, artisans and craftsmen from across India and globally. Conscious Collective is the newest property of Godrej Design Lab which brings together architects, designers, urban planners, conservationists and civil society to explore how design can create solutions for built spaces that are more sustainable with materials that are more ecologically sound with minimal impact on the planet.  

 As Chairperson of the G&B CSR Committee and Sustainability Council, Nyrika is actively involved in G&B’s community development efforts, skilling and the protection of wetlands in India.  

Prior to joining GEG, Nyrika began her career at the London office of White and Case, a US law firm based in the UK where she specialised in Mergers & Acquisitions. She went on to work in the Mumbai office of AZB & Partners where she advised offshore companies intending to invest in India. She read law at the University of London and is a qualified solicitor in India and the United Kingdom. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado College, USA in Philosophy and Environmental Economics.     

She is on the boards of the Naoroji Godrej Centre for Plant Research which conserves endemic species of the Western Ghats, the Centre for the Advancement of Philanthropy which provides compliance and legal advice to NGOs in India. Nyrika is also on the board of the United World Colleges Committee India which is part of a global network of IB schools. She is part of the Advisory Council for the Sustainable Futures Collaborative and is part of the Ananta Aspen Centre’s Fellowship. She represents GEG at the Confederation of Indian Industry, Western Region.  

An avid nature lover, Nyrika is passionate about biodiversity conservation, photography and trekking.

Anil G. Verma

Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer

Anil G. Verma is an Executive Director & the Chief Executive Officer of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group. As part of the group since 1983 Mr. Verma has more than 30 years of experience in key business functions such as Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing. He has held several leadership positions in multiple capacities across businesses and corporate functions. 

He also serves as a director of Godrej Infotech and is the Chairman, Board of Directors at Godrej Koerber, which is a JV between Godrej Enterprises Group and the Koerber group of Germany. 

An Engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Mr. Verma  has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has also completed an Executive Program from the Sloan School of Management, MIT, USA. 

A keen proponent of safety at the workplace, he is the Chairman of the CII National Taskforce on Industrial Safety as well as the Governor on the Board of the National Safety Council of India (NSCI). He is also an Executive Committee Member of the Employers' Federation of India (EFL), Member of the Advisory Committee of the CII Institute of Quality and part of the CII Western Region Executive Committee.  

Under Mr. Verma's leadership, the Godrej Enterprises Group has received a plethora of recognition over the years in areas such as quality, safety, marketing and manufacturing excellence. The firm has been awarded the NASEOH Award as the 'Best Employer' and the NCPEDP-Shell Helen Keller Award for the 'Best Employer' for the differently abled.  

He was the recipient of the RMI Roll of Honour for Life-time Achievement in HR at the National HR Conclave, HR 2.0, in 2010 and has been recognised as a 'Distinguished Alumnus' of the IIT-BHU Alumni Association during its Centenary Year in 2018.

Freyan Crishna Bieri

Non-Executive Director

Freyan Crishna Bieri is a non-executive director of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group.   

An Interior Architect by training, Ms. Bieri worked with Hindustan Unilever and Godrej Agrovet, before she joined Nozer Wadia Associates in 2004, a prestigious Architecture and Interior Design firm in Mumbai.    

She has designed multifaceted residential properties and yachts and is constantly looking to evolve best practices in creating and producing furniture and objects with a purpose.    

Ms. Bieri graduated from Gettysburg College with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science before studying at The Inchbald School of Design, United Kingdom.    

She is an avid traveller, art collector and design enthusiast and lives in Dubai with her family.

Navroze J. Godrej

Non-Executive Director

Navroze Godrej is a Non-Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group.

Navroze previously served as an Executive Director on the Board from May 2010 to September 2016 during which time he strengthened the company’s focus on design-led innovation by establishing the Godrej Innovation & Design Center (IDC) and the Godrej Design Lab as well as through internal transformation programs and fellowships for young designers.  

A designer and musician by profession, Navroze firmly believes that strategic design along with creative empowerment should pervade every aspect of a business if it is to deliver products and services of the greatest value to the community.  

Kavas Petigara

Non-Executive Director

Kavas Petigara is a Non-Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group.    

A chemical consultant, Mr Petigara is the Managing Partner of Scitech Corporation. He has been associated with chemical and allied business activities in India and abroad for many years.  

Mr. Petigara completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Chemical Engineering, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.  

Keki Elavia

Non-Executive Director

Keki Elavia is the Non-Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group.   

A chartered accountant in public practice, Mr. Elavia serves as a Director on the Board of various listed and unlisted companies.  

He was a member of the India UK Accountancy Task Force, constituted by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. He is also a Trustee of educational and medical Trusts. The Reserve Bank of India appointed Mr. Elavia as a member of the Indian Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, where he was the Chairman of its Audit and Corporate Governance Committee.

Pradip Shah

Non-Executive Director

Pradip Shah is the Non-Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group.  

He founded IndAsia, a corporate finance and private equity advisory business, in April 1998. Prior to IndAsia, he helped establish the Indocean Fund in 1994, and was the founder Managing Director of The Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited (CRISIL), India’s first and largest credit rating agency. 

He is currently Chairman of Sonata Software Limited and a Director of BASF (India) Limited and Pfizer Limited amongst other companies. He has given talks in India, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia and the United States on credit rating, housing finance, capital markets, venture capital and other subjects. 

Mr. Shah holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College, Bombay. He is a qualified Cost Accountant and ranked first in India in the Chartered Accountancy examinations.

Anita Ramachandran

Non-Executive Director

Anita Ramachandran is the Non-Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group.  

One of India’s leading Human Resources Consultants, Ms. Ramachandran is well known for her work in Compensation and HR strategy. She earlier had a two decade career with A.F. Ferguson's Management Consultancy division, where she was a Director.  

She founded Cerebrus Consultants, a reputed HR consulting firm, focused on consulting in rewards management, organisation development and strategic HR in 1995. With a national presence, Cerberus works with over 100 companies each year including multinationals operating in South Asia.  

Ms Ramachandran is an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Mumbai and has won several academic honours. She is also on the Board of several companies including HCL Infosystems, UTI AMC and Geometric Software. She often writes in several business and professional magazines. She has been a champion of various women's causes.

Gauri A Kirloskar

Independent Director

Gauri A. Kirloskar is an independent director on the board of Godrej and Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises group.  

She is the Managing Director of Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL) since May 2022 and a director on the boards of KOEL’s subsidiaries, La-Gajjar Machineries - a pumps manufacturing company - and Arka Fincap - the group’s foray into the financial services business. At Arka Fincap, she was involved in setting up the management team as well as business planning and procurement of the RBI license for the financial services business. 

Prior to her appointment as Managing Director of KOEL, she established the Group’s real estate business in Pune involving strategic analysis of alternative value creation opportunities around the sale and development of the group’s land banks. She was involved in title clearance and land approvals, building the design brief and working closely with the International Property Consultants as well as engaging with potential clients. 

At the KOEL Group level, Ms. Kirloskar also leads HR, branding and corporate communication functions. She led the recent ‘brand refresh’ of the group under the banner “Kirloskar Limitless” and was responsible for executing the entire project.  

She attended Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business, where she received a B.Sc. in Business Administration with a major in Finance in 2006. Prior to the same, she attended Phillips Academy, Andover.  

After graduation, Ms. Gauri worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Merrill Lynch in New York in as part of the mergers and acquisition group before moving on to Pearson’s Corporate Finance and Strategy group where she looked at bolt-on acquisitions for their education business. 

She is part of the core advisory team for Exagrid University, an initiative to build a multidisciplinary research university that aims to be in the top 25 of global rankings by 2050. She was awarded the Maharashtra Udyogini award by the Ministry of Industries, Maharashtra in 2023.

Viraf Mehta

Independent Director

Viraf Mehta has joined the board of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group as an Independent Director.  

Mr Mehta is a Fellow Member of ‘The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’ (ICAI). He retired as the Managing partner of Kalyaniwalla & Mistry, Chartered Accountants, a member firm of Mazars in India, with significant experience and expertise in Audit & Review, Assurance, Business Advisory and Transaction Advisory services.  

He has also handled assignments relating to special audits and investigations on behalf of the Reserve Bank of India, Securities Exchange Board of India and on behalf of the Special Court set up under the Trial of Offences Relating to Transactions in Securities Act, 1992. 

Mr Mehta has represented India at the executive forum of Mazars group over the past decade. He has headed the Audit and Assurance practice of the firm for several years and has considerable experience of having worked with a broad range of Indian and Multinationals clients in the Public and Private sector. 

He has been on the Board of Directors of several companies including a bank and was a member on the Committees of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and of the ICAI as an invitee.
