In case your deep freezer fails to provide cooling or runs with no cut-off, check for the following:
- If your freezer has been disconnected for a long period then wait for 24 hours for the freezer to cool down completely.
- If the temperature outside is hot, the freezer tends to run for longer to maintain the desired temperature.
- Frequent opening and closing of doors can cause interruptions in consistent cooling due to an influx of warm air.
- Storing large amounts of hot or warm foods causes the freezer to run more to achieve its desired temperature.
- The internal light might be on due to the door being left open.
- Formation of ice might disrupt cooling and you should defrost the freezer.
- If the gasket is dirty, torn, worn out or badly fitted, clean or change the gasket to help the refrigerator run optimally.
