Savour the magic of Christmas with delicious treats made in your Godrej Microwave Oven
The holiday season is here, and what better way to celebrate than with delicious homemade treats? This Christmas, we bring to you a selection of easy recipes that you can prepare using your Godrej Microwave Oven. So, gather your loved ones and don your aprons this festive season!
1. GINGERBREAD COOKIES

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
Ingredients:
- Melted Butter - 1 cup
- Powdered Sugar - ½ cup
- Powdered Oats - ¾ cup
- Ginger Powder - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon Powder - ½ tsp
- Baking Powder - ½ tsp
- Clove Powder - A pinch
- Nutmeg Powder - A pinch
- Salt - A pinch
- Sieved All Purpose Flour - 1 ½ cup
Method of preparation:
- In a mixing bowl add butter and powdered sugar and mix well. Add powdered oats, ginger powder, cinnamon powder, baking powder, clove powder, nutmeg powder, salt, and maida and mix slowly to make a smooth dough.
- Cut the cookies into different shapes using your favourite Christmas-themed cookie cutters.
- Place all the cookies on a crusty plate, arrange it on the grill mesh rack, and keep it in the microwave oven.
- Select the convection mode and set the microwave to 170°C for 10 minutes to bake the cookies.
- Step 5: - Once baked, let the cookies cool down completely. Decorate your freshly baked Christmas gingerbread cookies with icing or toppings of your choice and enjoy!
2. CHRISTMAS PLUM CAKE

Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 5 Minutes
Ingredients:
- Melted Butter - ¾ cup
- Granulated Sugar - ¼ cup
- Powdered Sugar - ½ cup
- All-purpose Flour, Sifted - 1½ cup
- Baking Powder - ½ tsp
- Baking Soda - ½ tsp
- Cinnamon Powder - ½ tsp
- Ginger Powder - ½ tsp
- Chocolate Powder - ½ cup
- Clove Powder - ¼ tsp
- Grated Orange Zest - 1 tsp
- Condensed Milk - ½ cup
- Vanilla Extract - ¼ tsp
- Salt - ¼ tsp
- Water - 1 cup
- Caramel Syrup - 2 tbsp
- Beaten Eggs (Optional) - 2
Dry fruits & Nuts
- Black Raisins - ½ cup
- Golden Raisins - ¼ cup
- Candied Dry Fruits - ½ cup
- Tutti Frutti - ¼ cup
- Chopped Dates - ¼ cup
- Chopped Cashews - 2 tbsp
Method of preparation:
- In a mixing bowl, add butter, powdered sugar, granulated sugar, beaten eggs, and mix until smooth. Add flour, baking powder, soda, orange zest, condensed milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, ginger powder, clove powder, caramel syrup, water, dry fruits and nuts. Whisk it well until you get an even, smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into a lightly greased microwave oven-safe bowl, place it in the oven, select micro mode and set time for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
3. CHRISTMAS COCONUT CANDY

Preparation Time: - 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: - 3 Minutes
Ingredients:
- Shredded Coconut - 2 cups
- Sweetened Condensed Milk - 1 cup
- Vanilla/Almond Extract - ½ tsp
- Salt - ¼ tsp
- Red & Green Food Colour (optional) - Few drops
Method of Preparation:
- In a mixing bowl, mix the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla or almond extract, and salt. Stir until well combined.
- If you'd like colourful candies, divide the mixture into three bowls. Add a few drops of red food colouring to one portion and green to another, leaving the third portion plain. Mix thoroughly to distribute the colour evenly.
- In a microwave oven-safe glass bowl, place one portion at the bottom, the second in the middle and the third on the top. Place the bowl in the oven, select micro mode and set the time for 2 minutes. Stir twice in between.
- After the beep, remove the bowl, stir, and cook again for 1 more minute. Stir once in between. Let the mixture cool slightly.
- Shape the mixture into small balls, bars, or festive shapes like stars using cookie cutters.
- Place the candies on a tray. Allow them to cool at room temperature or refrigerate for faster setting. Enjoy!
